Specific learning intentions
We have five senses; taste, touch, hearing, sight and smell. Name the five senses along with their corresponding body parts.
Explore everyday examples of hearing, touch, taste, sight and touch. Explain how each sense helps us to learn about the world around us.
Humans and other animals have a supportive bony framework. Recognise a human skeleton and identify and name some parts.
Humans have internal organs that keep them alive. Name some vital internal organs and be able to tell others what these organs do.
Scientists carry out investigations to answer questions about the world. Use their senses to observe and investigate phenomena related to their questions.
Science knowledge is based on evidence. Carry out investigations and come up with conclusions based on evidence.
Scientists are honest and collaborate with others to find answers. Communicate honestly their observations with others. Work together to improve their investigations and answer their questions.
