Our Partnership
Science Alive Charitable Trust and The National Science-Technology Roadshow Trust are driven by a shared commitment to delivering high-quality, interactive learning experiences in science and technology throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand. Through both funding and expertise, Science Alive supports both the popular travelling Science Roadshow as it visits schools and venues across the country as well as their support programmes for teachers - The Sir Paul Callaghan Science Academy and post academy alumni events.
The National Science-Technology Roadshow Trust has been operating since 1990 and operates New Zealand's premiere traveling hands-on Science Education Programme. Catering primarily to intermediate and primary school students, the roadshow experience provides approximately 70 hands on exhibits split into six themes and two live demonstrations that change annually to support a range of curriculum content.
Supported by an experienced board of trustees and fuelled by a team of passionate and individuals the Science Roadshow provides a unique, hands-on learning experience for all participants. A wide range of interactive exhibits, workshops, and presentations crafted to nurture curiosity and discovery in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects are showcased by the roadshow every year resulting in consistently positive feedback and engagement from thousands of students, staff and whānau members.
We are thrilled to continue and enhance our work with the amazing team at The National Science-Technology Roadshow Trust. This partnership not only supports the reach and impact of Science Alive’s content and educational material to both educators and students but also provides support to the Science Roadshow in its mission to inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators.
